This book is an introductory guide to eating without gluten or dairy, and other common allergens. It’s not just for those who are diagnosed with celiac disease. Many people are finding that giving up gluten and dairy brings relief from a wide range of health problems.

Is gluten your problem? Or dairy? People with food sensitivities often need to avoid not one but several different foods.

This book assumes that anyone who is sensitive to gluten might also have to avoid dairy products, soya and nightshades, and possibly eggs and maize as well. Its aim is to teach the reader to cook confidently with the many natural wholefoods which are alternatives to wheat, dairy, maize etc.

Wheat, milk and cheese form a major part of the modern diet, especially in processed foods. It can seem impossible to live without them. But having to avoid wheat, milk, cheese etc need not be a restriction on what you can cook and eat. Instead see it as a challenge to find ways around it.

I've been gluten free and dairy free for thirty years now, so I’ve learned to expand my repertoire to include many naturally gluten free foods and find substitutes for favourite dairy foods.

In this book I share some of my discoveries and recipe ideas.

Let me show you that your new diet can actually be more varied than the old one, as well as better for you.
